What's the difference between 3-season and 4-season tents?

3-season tents are built for spring, summer and fall with an emphasis on ventilation and rain protection. 4-season tents add stronger poles and reduced mesh to handle snow load and high wind, at the cost of weight and breathability. Most tents in this pool are 3-season designs.
