What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, Jorgensen's 4-pack of 6-inch and 12-inch medium-duty F-clamps is the workhorse general-purpose set. A widely referenced YouTube comparison spent ten months testing the Pony Jorgensen F-style bar clamp against the classic Bessey clutch-style clamp, and r/woodworking commenters report 'no huge difference in performance, both work just as well,' while giving Jorgensen the edge on handle texture and grip. Home Depot and Walmart verified-purchase reviewers say they hold well under normal clamping loads.
What reviewers liked

- Community comparisons rate them on par with Bessey clutch clamps
- Textured handles win small preference votes in r/woodworking
- Two useful lengths in one affordable 4-pack
Where it falls short
- Rubber end boots reportedly fall off, per multiple community threads
- Medium-duty 600 lb limit trails heavy-duty parallel clamps
- Some community members note Jorgensen pricing for a non-USA brand
- F-style design can mark or bow thin stock without cauls

The 600 lbs load limit and sliding-head design make these fast-acting and suitable for close-quarters work, which r/woodworking notes is exactly where F-clamps earn their keep. The most common gripe across high-trust threads is small: the rubber boots on the bar end can fall off, a recurring annoyance rather than a functional failure.
With four clamps in two useful lengths at a low per-clamp cost, the trust-weighted consensus positions this as the set most beginners and pros should own several of. Reviewers treat them as the default for everyday holding and light-to-medium glue-ups.
- The throat depth is 2-1/2 inch, the maximum opening capacity is 6-inch and 12-inch and the Normal load limit is 600 lbs
- Sliding head design makes this style fast acting
- the sliding head is threaded to accommodate the screw with large easy grip handle and swivel pad
- Multiple-Disc-Clutch design consist hardened plated steel clutch disc and one spring which allows the sliding head to hold securely at any point along the bar
- With soft and durable plastic pads, steel bar is plated to be rust resistant and the iron castings have an orange baked enamel finish
- Designed for all types of medium-duty clamping, and Ideal for hobbyist, carpenters, woodworkers, metalworkers and professional trades people of all types
Had to buy a set of 16” heavy duty bar clamps on the fly and they fine except the stupid rubber boot on the top clamp always falls off them.
I own a few different brands, Jorgensen(newer version), Masterforce and Tool Shop (Menards). I like the Jorgensen but pricey for a Chinese brand.
