The consensus
What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
This listing is the fixed-base configuration of DeWalt's DCW600B, and the reviewers we read praise it for stable, controlled edge and table work. protoolreviews.com, a high-trust tester, built its endorsement on the same corded-trim-router foundation, and danmadewoodworking.com singled out the large, stable D-shaped base and excellent single-ring adjustment as ideal for clean, repeatable edge profiles. r/BeginnerWoodWorking notes it is a trim router limited to 1/4-inch shank bits, which keeps it in the light-cutting lane but makes it easy to steady against an edge one-handed.
What reviewers liked
- Large, stable fixed base praised by danmadewoodworking.com for clean edge profiling
- Shares the high-trust-endorsed DCW600B power and adjustment system
- Strong verified-purchase rating (4.8, 584) and easy one-handed control
Where it falls short
- Limited to 1/4-inch shank bits, per r/BeginnerWoodWorking, so it won't tackle heavy cuts
- Same battery-appetite issue flagged across r/Dewalt; needs a large pack
- Essentially overlaps the tool-only DCW600B, offering little new beyond the base configuration

Great little router if you give it a decent battery, I wouldn't run it on much less than a 5ah batt. Dewalt also makes a plunge base and a dust collection ...
My only complaint about this router is the girth. I wish it was a bit smaller. Like the Makita one.
