Reviewers consistently describe lag-free, accurate tracking with the battery-free Pro Pen 3, and a reliable, do-the-job build. The 4.4 Amazon average across 681 reviews supports the picture of a dependable workhorse rather than a flashy one.
The disagreements are worth surfacing. Community reviewers repeatedly note the older 16's screen is not especially crisp and that it ships without an adjustable stand, prompting many to buy an external one. Some also find it large and heavy for tight desk setups, and r/wacom commenters point out the step up to a 4K touchscreen Pro model if those compromises matter to you.

The 2025 version of the Wacom Cintiq 16 interactive pen display checks all the boxes for art students as well as creative pros on a budget: high brightness and resolution, excellent contrast, and simple connectivity.
Overall, it's a good, reliable graphics tablet that does the job. The only thing I would change would be buying an external stand for the Cintiq ...
The old 16's display, resolution, and drawing experience left a lot to be desired. The 16 Pro is 4K and Touchscreen, neither of which I need.
